Theres is NO denying it…it’s hot, and I don’t want to go outside anymore. (Okay, I want to go outside, just not between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.)

Texas heat is killer, but I refuse to let it kill my workouts. The extreme heat does make me want to curl up in the air conditioning and watch TMZ and The Ellen Show all day, but I know my backside will grow faster than my credit card bill during Neiman’s Last Call sale if I don’t get up and move.

It sounds a tad shallow, but nothing motivates me more to get in gear at the gym or on my Peloton bike than a cute workout outfit. Whether it’s just me sharing it on Insta stories or wearing it to the gym, cute fitness gear reminds me of how good it feels to be at a comfortable weight and fitness level. I have enough pink, orange, and blue tights and sportsbras; I wanted something edgier. When I found Funky Diva’s active collection, I knew this was what was missing! Their exercise clothes are just as cute in yoga class as on they are on the street. I found these faux leather leggings for $59! Leggings like these from other brands run upwards of $90-$200, which makes these a crazy good find. The faux leather tank I paired it with is only $32, and one of the softest tanks I own. Plus, you can tell that it’s a bit more tailored than most workout gear, which makes it perfect for wearing with your regular clothes. (It’s not baggy  or too loose like many of my workout tops.) I LOVE this line, and the prices are awesome. My next purchase will definitely be this “Killing It” tee.

I am going to gush about something for a minute, so hang with me. I have been a Swatch watch lover since ten years old. My sister and I got matching Swatch watches one year, and they were a super cool clear band. Bonus: could see the inner workings of the timepiece in the face. (The band looked similar to this one.) Besides looking really awesome, what I loved most about that watch was how lightweight it was, and how it molded to my little wrist. It was (and still is,) the most comfortable watch I own. I still have it tucked away in my jewelry box, and it brings back the best childhood memories! Well, Swatch has evolved over the years and now makes SwatchSkin, a line of gorgeous watches that are minimalist and practically weightless. Not only are these watches beautiful, but they are the PERFECT transition piece of jewelry from the gym to the boardroom to a cocktail hour. I chose the SkinScreen ($89), a stainless-steel Milanese bracelet style. It’s sooooo pretty! When I wore it for the first time, I knew I’d found a watch that I could literally wear with anything. It looks sporty and clean with this outfit, and sophisticated and classy with a LBD. I can’t tell you enough how much I love Swatch even more as an adult. Knowing this brand was such a big part of developing my style as a kid always makes me smile. You can see their whole Skin collection here…and the prices will make you smile even more.

I’ve been working on de-stressing lately, and I’ve been looking for natural, easy alternatives. Besides magnesium baths and routine stretching, I like to use this Aveda Rosemary Mint Composition Oil. I add a few drops to my magnesium bath, put a few dabs behind my ears and on my temples, and even rub a little on dry areas like my elbows and tops of my hands. The scent will remind you of being at a spa…it’s calming and peaceful. It’s a great thing to dab on your towel when heading to yoga class, too!

Stay cool if you’re brave enough to go outside mid-day…or just stay inside and watch Ellen.
