Summertime is one of the best times of year because I get to travel more than usual. I try to fit in at least one road trip and one flight somewhere cool, which means my luggage plays a big role in getting my trip off to a good start. I typically need a BIG suitcase, since I pack an outfit for every possible occasion and I bring weightier items like my airbrush, hair dryer, and wave irons.  Here’s my secret to easier travel without having to do anything: purchase a suitcase in a bright color…other than red, maroon, or purple. Why? Because finding your luggage at baggage claim is super easy when you have a bright turquoise or yellow suitcase! It also simplifies things when the airline loses your luggage. Everyone has a black, brown, or red suitcase, which makes it tougher to spot. Also, when having a hotel transfer luggage to your room, you can clearly see they have the right bag. No worries, no problems. This one is also made of a light nylon and it’s water resistant. If you happen to put that wet beach towel on top of it, it’s still all good.

I found this gorgeous turquoise suitcase from Lipault, who also makes several of my other favorite things. It’s the Lipault Plume Spinner suitcase is super lightweight and spins 360 degrees. If your current suitcase doesn’t have spinner wheels, you are making things harder on yourself when you don’t have to! Invest the money in a durable, easy suitcase like this one in a bright color, and you’ll never regret it. You can find Lipault luggage online and in-store at great places like Dillards. I’ve only had this one since May, and it’s already been to Montana and back. It holds everything I need and it wasn’t elusive at baggage claim. That alone saves me at least fifteen minutes of travel time!

One item of note in my suitcase: Madame La La’s Bronzing Ball. This little travel-sized ball is amazing, because you don’t have to have a makeup brush to use it! It’s a twist-up cream bronzer that you can just glide on instead of using your brushes. It’s made with Vitamin E & Coco Water  and won’t dry out your skin when you are bronzing, contouring and highlighting your cheeks, lips and eyes. If you are a bronzing junkie like I am, this is THE product to take on your travels.

It’s finally Friday, so have a great weekend. I’m planning on some pool time! 🙂
