Is there anything better than changing out of your work/day clothes and putting on comfy clothes when you get home? (Ladies, isn’t it sheer joy the moment you get to take off your bra and slip into something more comfortable?) I began investing in awesome loungewear because those pieces are comfort and sanity at the end of a long day. When I was a kid, we got Christmas jammies each year to wear on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day. So, who says that tradition needs to end when you grow up?

I recently kicked off the holidays at the Kansas City Plaza Lights event, and this loungewear from AdoreMe was the very first thing I packed. It’s my second order from AdoreMe; I ordered a bra and panty set that I loved and I came back for more. I took a chance on this Tracey PJ set (similar here), and it was even more lovely than I expected. The drawstring joggers are super soft, and the racerback tank is like wearing the comfiest t-shirt you’ve ever owned. It’s perfect for a lazy day around the house, drinking hot cocoa by the fire and reading a book, or snuggling up on a Saturday night watching Netflix! I’m always in the market for a new robe, too, so I snagged this jet black Ellis robe with lace details on the sleeves and hem. It’s sexy, but it’s also incredibly soft and light. I have a fabulous winter robe that keeps me super warm, but I now love this Ellis robe for the holidays because it’s light enough to wear by the fire, or over my PJ’s without getting too hot. I loved it so much, in fact, that I got another one to give as a Christmas gift to a friend. 🙂

While waiting for the sun to go down and get dark enough for the Kansas City Plaza lights to come on, I had everything I needed for the perfect start to Christmas: my heavenly pj’s, soft pillows, good reading material, and of course, chocolate!
