When visiting downtown Los Angeles recently, I got the chance to do a walking tour of the city with my Mom. We walked quite a few miles taking in the historic architecture, cool restaurants, and even trekking through The Last Bookstore. I wanted to be as comfortable as possible, so I went with all black leggings, tee, and kicks.
The Nike Air Hurrache from SIX:02 saved my feet that day! I buy all my athletic shoes from SIX:02 because they always have free shipping, free returns, and the best looking kicks…and these are a total winner as far as comfort and style are concerned. Note, though, if you’re planning on ordering a pair, *order a size up*. You don’t want your toes punching the end of the shoe. (It’s the worst!) This pair can be worn easily with or without socks, which I love. They fit snug, so don’t be alarmed when you first put them on. The break in within a few wears, and then suddenly feel like putting on a comfy pair of slippers. SIX:02 also just started carrying these super stylish gray Adidas that I am swooning over.
Though I don’t want swollen feet, I can’t say the same about my lips. I’ve never had plump lips, so being able to enhance them a bit without injections and surgery has always appealed to me. JuvaLips makes a fantastic device that allows you to do that, so I wanted to see what it could do for me. It works with two small AA batteries- easy enough. There is a soft contoured mouthpiece that provides the seal against your lips to prevent bruising. (It’s actually comfortable to use, unlike some other devices out there.) You control it with a push-button, which times out your treatments at a regulated pressure. This increases blood flow into the capillaries of your lips after one minute…two minutes at most. It seems the more often you use it, the longer the plumping lasts. It’s supposed to help with fine lines around the mouth, but only time will tell if that’s the case. If you are considering giving it a try, there is a 30-day money back guarantee and a full one year warranty, which My bottom lip definitely saw great improvement, and the more times I use the device, the better I’m getting at plumping up my top lip. I love the result! It isn’t something I do everyday, but it’s completely safe to. Plus, when you’ve got a special night out or you’re taking photos, it never hurts to have a fresher looking smile. (Or if you’re trying to entice someone to kiss you this Valentine’s Day!)
